A more relaxed or a sharper fit
The instruction is simple: if you are between two sizes, take the larger size for a more relaxed hoodie fit.
- Your own size: the one whose chest width matches your favourite hoodie best. Structured and clean.
- One size up: a more relaxed feel, easier to layer underneath. Enough for most people who want room.
A jump of two sizes is not worth taking. It changes the shoulder line and the sleeve length too, and the hoodie starts to look borrowed rather than deliberately loose. Since the garment is made to order, a misjudgement costs a return.
Tip: always measure the garment, not the body. Two different brands' L sizes can differ by more than five centimetres.
